Loaded with features to give beginners and intermediate players an acoustic-piano playing experience in a portable package, the black Yamaha P-125a Digital Piano delivers the sound and feel of a traditional grand piano thanks to its 88 Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) weighted keys, 192-note polyphony, string and damper resonance effects, high-fidelity 2-way speaker system, plus the expressive tones of four grand pianos including the renowned Yamaha CFIIIS 9' concert grand piano.

A collection of 20 additional instrument sounds with adjustable reverb, 20 onboard bass and drum tracks on which you can jam, layer and split modes to combine sounds, duet mode to practice with a partner, two headphone jacks, 1-track song recorder, and a USB MIDI interface for connectivity to a Mac/Windows computer or iOS device make the P-125a ideal for students, hobbyists, or pianists looking for a complete musical playing experience in a small space.

The piano comes with a music rest and a sustain footswitch. To complete your setup, optional L-125 matching stand, FC3A sustain pedal with half-pedaling, and LP-1 three-pedal unit are available separately.

GHS Weighted Action

GHS weighted action is heavier in the lower keys and lighter in the higher keys just like on a real acoustic piano. The special matte black key tops are designed to absorb moisture and remain tactile after extended use without becoming slippery.

Pure CF Sound Engine

The Pure CF Sound Engine faithfully reproduces the tone of a meticulously sampled Yamaha 9' CFIIIS concert grand piano, allowing for dynamic and expressive playing.

String Resonance

String Resonance recreates the sympathetic sounds of other strings resonating, just like the behavior of an acoustic piano.

Damper Resonance DSP

Damper Resonance DSP recreates the sound of the inside of a grand piano when the dampers are off the strings.

Key-Off Samples

Key-off samples deliver the delicate change in sound that happens the instant the damper falls back to the string.

Song Recorder

The onboard 1-track MIDI recorder enables performances to be recorded to the piano's internal memory and played back—helpful during lessons or just for fun.

USB MIDI

USB-to-host connectivity with MIDI means you can connect to your music-making software running on a Mac/Windows computer or iOS device.

Sound Boost

Sound Boost adds EQ and volume to help the instrument project and cut through the mix using its internal speakers, allowing you to be heard in small ensemble situations such as an acoustic jazz trio.

Duo mode splits the keyboard into two halves, each with its own middle C for practicing with a partner or teacher.

Stereophonic Optimizer

A stereophonic optimizer adjusts the spatial distribution of sound in the listener's headphones. This creates the sensation that sound is coming directly from the piano rather than from the headphones.

Split

Split mode lets you play a different voice with each hand.
