Eighteen Sound 15LW1401

The Eighteen Sound 15LW1401 is a low frequency speaker that defines an industry standard in high performance 15 ″ (380 mm) transducers. The transducer can be used as a component for the bass route or as a sub-woofer: in any case it provides a clean, linear and undistorted reproduction of low frequencies, even at very high power levels. As part of a reflex loaded fullrange system, it can be used in extremely compact boxes, from around 65 to 130 liters.

DSS technology

The large suspension travel capacity and DSS - Double Silicon Spider technology  allow the 15LW1401 to reach high levels of movement while maintaining full control of the moving mass. The cone, reinforced with carbon fiber, ensures a fluid response and exceptional resistance, with maximum reliability in the presence of high power powers.

ISV technology

The 100 mm copper coil uses ISV - Interleaved Sandwich Voice Coil technology , in which a high resistance fiberglass trainer supports the windings on both its surfaces. The weight of the windings is uniformly distributed, providing a uniform driving guide. The result is a perfectly balanced coil.

DDR technology

The already low distortion and sound quality of this speaker have been further improved by the use of DDR - Double Demodulating Rings construction technology ,   designed to drastically reduce the intermodulation distortion and to improve the transient response.

Excellent heat dissipation is the result obtained by incorporating air ducts between the basket and the upper plate of the magnet. In addition, some air intakes implemented in the rear polar plate provide additional ventilation, conveying the air out of the air gap.

In addition, the ability of the Eighteen Sound 15LW1401 to function properly in adverse weather conditions is guaranteed by using a treatment that improves the resistance of the pulp. This gives water repellent properties on both sides of the cone. In addition, a special treatment applied to the polar plates makes them much more resistant to the corrosive effects of salts and oxidation.
